Hi everyone. Whilst poking about under my Defender 90 300 TDi (1997) today, I've noticed what appears to be a drain plug under the gearbox is missing. I've checked the Haines manual and the original handbook and the photos in them of the gearbox drain plug look nothing like this. Although the Landy runs lovely I'm worried that the gearbox may have no oil in it, I haven't noticed a load of oil on the drive other than the usual 'Marking It's Terratory' drops. Is it a drain plug or simply an inspection port? Any help would be really appreciated as this car is my daily run around. I'm new to this posting on forums stuff but I'm gonna try and insert a photo to this post.
