Hi-landers....im having trouble checking gear box oil, the hand book is telling me the dip stick is on the near side of the engine bay by the bulkhead. I haven't got a dip stick ???????? So how do you check oil and how do you top it up??????anyone got any ideas......

Theres a post on here somewhere by BustersBus about putting oil into a bottle, then attaching a pipe to the top of the bottle, putting it in the dipstick tube and just squeeze the bottle. Easy and it works.

Heres a picture to help you.

Remove the filler plug with the car level when it's had time to cool fully. Oil should be up to the bottom of the hole.
