So my discovery's gateway actuator was disconnected from the rod/turbo and I'm wondering why its been disconnected or how much I should screw it up.

Hi,

There is a fairly std thread count, iirc it is 11, but I have had a few beverages. A search on here would help.

Cheers

OK,

as you are in Essex, let us keep this simple.

Wind the wastegate actuator end of the rod onto to the wastegate actuator end of the rod, until there are only 11 to 13 threads showing.

Cheers

Then go to the intro thread and tell peeps about yourself.

BTW, you should not be driving on the road ....LOL:D:D

Cheers

Thanks I understand that much better I'm only 16 so that's better for so to read

a big thumbs up most 16 year olds wouldn't even of picked this up even if you where from oxford
learning from a young age a very good place to start as there is an old saying cant teach old dogs new tricks ..count threads etc
this is only a rough guide from a stock value

..depending on the age and wear and condition on the actuator also comes into consideration ?
a simple rule .....when ever playing or adjusting turbo settings... a boost reading will be needed even playing around in a farm

firstly speak to the owner on why its disconnected or maybe bring it to his attention as may of been disabled for a reason

i have seen my self wind down fuel supply and turbos working in small farms and mine sights on machinery due to a simple fact of young blood taking to many chances when unsupervised
