Hi Guys, my 2000 v8 discovery is still running really well but has issues starting. It will now only start on gas and not on petrol. When starting on gas sometimes the idle is up near 3000 revs and I have to switch off and on quickly and in drops back down. Once started on Gas I can switch straight to Petrol and it will run fine. Any clues or pointers much appreciated. Steve

Sounds like the gas ECU isn't changing over the drives to the gas valves and petrol injectors.

Do you have a laptop with software to look at the gas ECU settings?

Hi Peter, many thanks for the reply. I don't have the software but I do have a gas guy locally who has looked at the vehicle a few times who will have. I lost a little confidence with him as it has struggled to start for a while and he couldn't sort it. I will get him to just try the gas ecu and see what he thinks. Many thanks again. Steve

What petrol are you using?

I found supermarket petrol messes up LPG cars
