ok people... wonderful comments about said tool. Have just printed off 18 pages of content table to refer to all the stuff it does and where to go to for reference purposes. Yes i know its all on my laptop but i'm a bloke and can't do two things at once.
Happy that i have taken the plunge, i will now put my feet up and do some serious reading....

Rule number 1 with gap iid or nanocom is never press anything unless you are 1 million percent certain what it does.

These are powerful tools and damage can be done if you aren't careful
 
Nothing better than the tool saying continue? and you press it then the whole car goes dead, then one by one the systems come back on line!
Though to be fair this is only when progmramming something, ie rewriting the ccf file.
