I've just picked up my galvo bulkhead and was wondering what is the process for painting it? I seem to remember on one of the resto threads said he painted his chassis with some magic goo prior to painting but I'll be buggered if I can find it again! I don't want all my paint falling off because of bad prep work.

Just been pricing up a chassis and I may need to save a bit longer as I forgot business like to add vat at the end, means the chassis will cost £1700 ish and not a shade over 1300 I was expecting. Also when they deliver do they lift it off the delivery truck because I don't think me, my 2 year old son, wimpy wife, 80 year old parents and the dog will be much use lifting it off.

Do Landy parts breed? I only ask because I bought 1 Landy and now seem to have bits for more than 1 and they are spreading over 2 houses, is this a common phenomenon in the Landy world? :)

On a plus side the wife saw the bill for the bulkhead and just said can you afford that? If I had spent that on my other hobby she would have had a white **** and probably a divorce.

Mordant T wash comes to mind then etch primer, missed the t wash out and only used etch primer have some parts where paint has lifted so well worth doing.

Thanks for the info. Here is a pic of my other hobby, ALL deactivated before someone calls the Police! That's not all of them either.

If you get your chassis from Richards it will probably come on the back of a flat bed van with a crane to get it off. It can be carried by 2 people but it is heavy and askward, and mi mine was only a short one!

That's what I wanted to check, thanks. Mine is also a shorty but my mum's drive is massive so it shouldn't be a problem getting the flatbed up the drive.
