Hi all

Hope everyone’s keeping themselves busy with their land rovers during the lockdown.

I have a galvanised roof rack which I am thinking of welding some small brackets to so I can mount some lights. Obviously I don’t wanna break the galvanised ‘seal’,but seems the best approach at the mo.

Has any one used any galvofroid alternatives? I can’t justify buying 400ml of the proper stuff, when I’m only going to need 50ml max.

Many thanks.

Iv used the zinc primer from toolstation and screw fix. It's weldable aswell. Still in place on parts of my galvanised chassis 10 years later. I had to change the mounts and rad mounts. I use it mainly on the inside of sections I'm welding. It's really cheap. If you didn't like it after a while you could do something over the top of it.
