A little tip when glueing the leather to your gear lever etc, use pegs to keep the leather tight otherwise it will come loose.

Cheers for that. I am going to use a hot glue gun and do it quickly. Thanks for the tip though. Nothing worse than doing a job twice!
 
Hot glue probably won't work.
You'll be much better off using "Evo-stik" or similar adhesive.
 
I got given a set of these, same as in Thomo's link but cream Discovery 2 cream gaiters Hot glue worked for me but the only change I made was to push the plastic frame further down into the gearstick gaiter and cut off the excess as they have a lot of spare leather flapping about on that one. Looks like this fitted.
