I've just been checking the fuses in my fuse box, and noticed that 18 and 19 were missing, I can see 18 is fans, is this for the front fan or something else and any idea what 19 is for? When I went to replace these fuses I could not put them in the slot, they just kept dropping out and same with the spares, would not stay in the slot, why is this? Thanks

Without psychic abilities, like what feckin' vehicle it is, how the hell could anyone even guess? I assume it's a Landrover but there are a few models to choose from.

there's no contacts there, assuming my physic abilities are correct and its a 90 your on about ?

why would there be no contacts there, any reason for this?

because the device that would be connected using that fuse holder isn't fitted - it's just a spare empty place holder for the fuse contacts - get a torch and check there's no contacts before taking my word for it

IIRC 18 & 19 on a 90 are for aircon one's the fan tuthers for the compressor.
