Sorry Chris- I don't "do" diesels.
This forum seems to contain a vast repository of diesel talent though and I'm sure that someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

I got chains, gaskets & fuse box from rimmers of UK. They have a 'price match' option too.
So far so good with me but no affiliation. I had a bad experience with island44 who sold me a refurbed starter saying it's brand new.
Will never go to them.

Dieselbob is considered good for FIP refurbs, never used them personally but they've got a good rep.

I got my FIP from Diesel Jones in Manchester. You're looking about £700, IIRC. You need the one ending 994. https://www.pfjones.co.uk/diesel-fu...land-rover-range-rover-diesel-fuel-pumps.html

Fusebox might be best from RimmerBros. At least you know it is genuine. There are lots so you need the right one.

I refuse to do business with Island these days but there's them, Paddock Spares, Famous Four. The chains and sprockets etc came to a good £300 when I priced it up a few years ago.

You can get a whole engine off the Bay for a few hundred quid ...

Hi Grrrrr,Thanks for the info. The concerns with buying an engine off ebay is everything is unknown ie mileage and condition unless it can be guaranteed even then how long can you get out of things? And ive got a v8 defender lying up without an engine due to liner slip.3 replacement engines fitting time converting from gems to thor etc etc all had same problems slipped liners?Unless you know of someone with a good engine I wouldn't take the chance again. I did contact island 4x4 not impressed.
thanks

Yes, I have the same fears for when mine goes! If I could get the 4.0L engine from my Jag in it then that'd be heaven!

To be fair to Colin(?) at Island he knows his stuff and orders are normally dispatched PDQ. The problem is with communication should anything go wrong. And when it does go wrong, putting it right. I had to threaten legal action before he'd refund a part that was clearly knackered when it reached me. Moreover, I contacted the manufacturer and they couldn't work out where they'd got the part from so there were concerns about if the part was genuine. Never used them since. A pity really as I'd put thousands his way before and recommended them to everyone who asked. If you're not going to need to send parts back (e.g. servicing parts etc) then you're safe and go ahead. Anything you're unsure about or it absolutely has to be genuine ... I'd look elsewhere.

HI Grrrr. I have been there too Spending a lot and will continue doing so customer service is everything Choose carefully before spending hard earned cash.
thanks
