I think I need to move. But shouldn't you get yourself a car with a functioning heater and door seals that seal? Or was it just my old 90 that these items failed to operate at 100% efficiency?

My 90's heater is great after about 30 minutes and the gaps around the doors let the water trickle out. 100%

I gave up trying to make my Defender warm. I bought a good warm coat, scarf, hat and gloves.

Yup, I get togged up like Biggles.
Beautiful picture btw. We didn't get a sniff of snow where I live (very rare actually) and I was desperate to give her a drive in the white stuff..

Just iced up around me, solid wet slippery ice.
Coat hat and double gloves for me as well, heater warms up two little circles on the screen.

I fitted one of these in my Defender which does help.
