Hey all

So when I first get in the car in the morning I get a knocking noise from the front offside when going forward on full left hand lock. It seems to go away once the car has been driven for a few minutes.

Now some of you may remember that I had an MOT fail for a torn CV gaitor a while back and I'm wondering if that's related. Thing is I think the gaitor with the hole in it was on the near side.

Anyway, is there anything else it could be and is there any way to check the CV joints?

Grab and twist. Check for free play or knocks.

When my os cv joint failed it knocked every time I was moving slowly on full left lock, complete driveshaft was only £40 from j&r driveshafts

You're lucky it doesn't vibrate, as all the cheap shafts I've tried on the FL1 vibrate horribly.

Ive used j&R on several cars now from fiesta st, golf & freelander, you can buy direct or via ****ebay but they have all been good
