Hillo people , hope you all had a good christmas , now , my heater only works full blast , ive changed the whole heater box an the final stage unit that lives under the scuttle panel and it does the same as when i started , 93 rrc v8 auto , at a bit of a loss now , ive read else where that there are relays somewhere , any body tell me where please and any thing else that i should be looking at ??? Think maybe there is a resistor pack that controls the fan speeds. This will be duff change it.
Then the one you put on is duff. Unless you have got a wire crossed somewhere. The fan control switch just diverts power to sections of resistor pack to lower voltage and reduce fan speed. If fan does not work on 1,2,3 but works on 4 then resistor pack is duff. If fan is at full speed on all settings you have a wire in wrong place or a short somewhere i would think.
Then it can only be the resistor pack. The fact that fan runs at all would indicate relays are ok.
