Hi all

After owning a variety of 4x4's i finally gave in much to the delight of all my mates and bought a disco! I always try and find the best forums for the cars i own so here i am! My disco is a 92' 3.5 v8 which is mainly gonna get used to ferry the kids and missus around in, pull the caravan and when its not busy doing that, it will be going greenlaning or similar with all my mates!

naaa, just couldnt think of anything to respond to. your intro seemed to answer itself...

anyway, welcome to the forum! see you in the disco ;)

Ellow. Where you from then?

hehe im from derby grunt! nice to meet ya :D

As for mpg well having owned a daihatsu fourtrack that did 20 to the gallon (yes it was poorly) im fairly used to having cars etc that return crap MPG so unless its REALLY bad i hopefully wont notice to much :D

Hi.... Err... yeah, consumption calibration does need a bit of adjustment when you start running V8's!
Mine's a 3.9EFi in a RRC, and when we've discussed what you an expect from a V8, my reports of 24mpg best, 17mpg average and 14mpg worst, are considered 'optimistic', or strangely 'good'..... seems to be something to do with my driving style, and not being verh heavy booted.
Most struggle to get a 'best' that matches my 'average', and thw 'worsts' I've seen recorded pall..... cruiser who mods the RR forum on lrboards, recons he averages 10mpg in his 3.9, but admits to being a lead foot.
13 seems about the common average; even compared to more conventional, 'thirsty' cars..... these V8's have a drink problem.....
One word...... AUTOGAS!
At 45p a litre, the stuff gives you more miler per quid than most deseasil drivers are getting! But you still get the V8 sound track and the power to haull azz when you need it!
Maybe worth a thought!

Congratulations! you finally made it here. Now all you have to do is find that elusive, tasty, flat-packed pie :p
