My fuel tank was leaking from the seal/rim that goes around the perimeter of the fuel tank.

Sods law meant that I had filled it up to the rim, parked her up in the garage, came back 2 weeks later to find a rather large puddle underneath the tank :( just after I had sealed/fixed all the other orifices under the Landy!

So, I've managed to remove the old tank (after some gentle persuasion). I am now in the market for a new tank, as I reckon my old one is past its sell by date (don't think it's worth getting it repaired).

As per usual, I want one that won't rust after 2 mins, yet one that doesn't cost the Earth!

So far, the best (as in the most reasonably priced) I've come across is this one...

Fuel tank - 90 from chassis no AA243343 to WA159806

I'm tempted to paint it in "Black Jack" and leave it to dry before I fit it. What do you guys reckon? Good to go or otherwise?

Ta muchly!

Does not seem to be no better tanks being made so I just bought a britpart one and put lots of coats of paint on mine before fitting. It is a bit of a bad design with the way the guard clogs up with muck and then rots the tank away.

That's my thinking as well.

Don't suppose you know which is which do you...when I google it, they all look the same
