I need to replace my fuel tank support bracket. anyone done this and had any problems they can forewarn me about thanks

I ended up getting a local firm to make me up a bracket as I couldn't find a new one or a used one.

We ended up making brackets to hold the brackets, but the holes for the bolts simply needed a spray of lube (they had been empty for years since the LPG conversion). My best advice is make sure the tank is as empty as possible as even then, it's not super heavy as such, but pretty awkward for one person. We used broom handles and axle stands (on the ramp) to hold the tank while we fitted the bracket.

Make sure the filler neck is tight if you need to remove it or it will leak. Also make sure the pipework is secure and no weeping if the tank drops a bit.

Other than that, the only other hassle we had was the pump//sender fastening. The local dealer ordered the wrong one. Needed the red plastic one and they supplied the metal one which is too big. All sorted now, but a pullava.

Did mine about 18months ago. Run tank to about empty. I swapped the bracket by supporting the tank on some wooden 'stilts' to hold it in place. Undo the bolts, old one off, new one back in place. Easy job.
