Hi all,

I've got to replace the fuel tank cradle on my '96 4.0 because it hasn't gone rusty....the metal that was there must be on holiday somewhere.

The question is: I've looked at RAVE and replacing the fuel pump (according to the spec) involves dropping the tank. Short of disconnecting and reconnecting the fuel lines its pretty much what I'll be doing anyway.
I can't say that I have a problem with the fuel pump, but I can't say there isn't a problem either.

Should I swap the fuel pump (for the matter of £50 or so) just because I am about to do the lion's share of what would be required anyway?

Point taken and added to list :) But now the other question: can you buy replacement pipes as a set or do they need to be manufactured?

If you buy them from Land rover it will cost you the price of a new car. Make them.

If corroded replace the fuel pipes (out and return from the pump) if you can. You will be lucky to get some so have some made up if not.
