hi guys,
can anybody give me some advice please??
i have a 2003 freelander td4, the fuel pump has gone on it,when i rang landrover they said theres 2 which will fit it, 1 has a seperator and one doesnt, now heres my problem...... how can i tell which one mine is??? the pump is located o/s rear wheel arch.
does anybody have any idea please

This is news to me

First I've ever heard of there being 2 wheel-arch pumps.
I'm about to get a spare one for my next big trip so I'll have to check this out.

I wonder what exactly they mean by a separator?
I am aware of there being a sedimentor drain off tap right there too.
Maybe they have improved the pump - unlikely.

One of the reasons for pump failure is that the fuel passes through the pump BEFORE the filter - bloody crazy that is.

Hopefully some better informed person will enlighten us.
