Recently had issues with starting and found I needed a new fuel pump. Dropped the tank and changed the pump... the old one was badly corroded where the metal pipes came out of the top of the pump.
Pump seems to be working fine ... however ... when parked up, I find the vehicle difficult to start. This appears to be because fuel is going out of the system in front of the fuel filter. If left for 8 hours, the pipe between the filter and engine block can be completely empty. This then fills when starting but takes around 2 minutes. I do not understand how this can happen .... any ideas please
