Hi everyone,
So... I had an issue with fuelling not long ago. Took off the fuel filter and checked the prime. Someone it the previous ownership had murdered the bleed screw on top of the filter. So I need a new filter housing, etc. In the process of removing the filter housing one of the fuel pipes nut was too rusted on and had to be cut off. this was pipe part no: 564902. My question is this... If I order one of those, will it come with the 1/2" unf fitting? They are also quite dear so is there any way to repair the pipe. As far as I can see it is in tact from for most of the way except where the nut had to be cut off at the filter. Can I get some 1/4" pipe and attach it somehow to the nylon pipe then put a new compression nut and olive on? Any ideas I would be very grateful. Also FYI my landrover is a 1982 Series 3 109 with the 2 1/4 diesel engine. I have attached the page in the manual where I have found the part number for the pipe.

Does anyone use custom pipes? If so what sort of layout? And finally for the listed part it is a rubber pipe joining to steel. I only need the steel bit my existing rubber pipe is ok. Does anyone know how the rubber and steel pipe is joined?

Thanks in advance :)
Dom.

Edit: added more questions.
