hi all can some one tell me .can i get to the fuel sender by removing the drivers seat. on a landrover 90 1987. as the fuel light dont work.

Yes i think you can, Just remove the seat and then the cover plate, need to do mine also,

what normally happens for it to stop working.is it more likely to be a bad earth.

Did it ever work? Some (mine, a '95) don't have a low fuel level sensor or wiring.

yes it has 3 wires going to sender and when i earth the cream wire out it brings it on but wen connected to the sender nothing

did it work before? mine doesnt work as I have a newer tank fitted and the wires dont match up to the sender anymore, but at least I now have a guage!!! lol
