Fuel leaking from the cross member/ top of the fuel tank. Dropped the fuel tank and checked the lines which are fine. Replaced pump for a new one because I noticed the fuel line o ring not quite right. Still leaking and have no clue? Enlighten me before I light a match and drop it in the fuel tank 03 discovery td5.
Cheers

Check fuel line with green locking tab out of fuel pump it will have a tiny pin hole
Its the high pressure line so even a tiny hole will turn into a gusher

As has been stated already, double check the plastic fuel pipe with the green locking tabs, this has failed twice on my 53 reg Disco in the last four years, it chafes on the bodywork and gets a tiny pin hole, same symptoms as you describe above. First time I fitted a complete new set of pipes, second time just the green one, and sleeved it with thick rubber tubing to stop it happening again. Complete set of pipes is around £130 if I remember, but it's always the green one that fails, this is available on it's own for about £35.

Thanks Mat,
I got a hp fuel line from eBay for £22 which hopefully will do the job. Is it possible to fit it without dropping the fuel tank again.... I think so and others do on this platform but I suppose you need to have some protection on the line to stop it from happening again? Just need to promptly get back on the road to sort out things for my business.
Cheers,
Sam
