Ive got a small diesel leak not enough to create a pude on floor overnight. But enough to smell it.

Its in the engine bay somewhere, are there any common failure points?

It might help if you were to give us a clue where you can smell it from!!

Engine bay by the fuel lines? Any damp patches?

Go on ... Gizza clue!!

Damp patches on oil cooler pipe under lift pump.

Guessing lift pump. Is it a replacement job or tighten a bolt job?

cooler pipes are prone to leak in there own right where steel pipe meets rubber ,but lift pump would be replacement as to leak underneath means diaphragm split/holed

Thanks james i replaced oil pipes recently as they were leaking as you suggest. I will order a new lift pump! Cheers

Thanks seadog as well :)

Try looking at the spill pipes - the cloth covered one's that return fuel from the injectors. Pull back the covering and flex them. Mine were cracked from age and allowing fuel to weep down onto anything below.
Cheap and simple to replace.
