Slightly dripping as well

All covered in Diesel gunged dirt.

Appears to be coming from near top, but filter is not loose.

What is there to look for please?

Could be a cracked non return valve (if fitted)or pipe, housing fitting, copper washer, filter seal.
Not the first time ive seen a pin hole in the filter as its exposed to the elements
all sorts of cr@p being thrown up from the wheels. Stupid place for it tbh.

Clean it off start the engine, bit of card board held against the different fittings ect will show up the leak.

Yes, the filter housings can develop cracks / pinholes which allow leakage. Had to have mine changed recently.

Went for a drive after a wipe and bottom is wet.

Will try changing filter very soon (currently working)

they pit around were the copper sealing washer for the connectors fit, unless filter has 2 rubber center washers accidentally fitted, interestingly the basic filter heads are all the same eventhough there are a few part numbers
