Hi guys fitted new fuel tank on my series 3 and used old sender guage fuel gauge now reads Full when empty works wronf way round. changed wires around doesnt read at all. feels like a homer simpson moment- dooh Any ideas wot i am doing wrong.

maybe you fitted the fuel tank upside down

Are you getting a decent earth through the mounting screws on the tank?
Mine were rusted as anything, replaced with some brass screws I had kicking about on the van and it sprung into life...

It could be that a fuel sender from a positive earth has been supplied as then the guage is going to be back to front
