Hi All,

Since owning my range rover classic (vogue 1989) the fuel gauge has never worked. I have previously removed the floor to replace the pump (no access panel on mine :() but never thought to check if the fuel gauge worked. I would like to know if its hard to replace the fuel gauge or will I need to drop the tank or remove the floor again? Thanks for any help.

Regards
J.

The guage is in the dash the sender is in the tank...remove the wire from sender and ground to chassis if guage moves it's a sender fault...

^^^. With the ignition switched on.
Is your sender unit part of the in-tank pump assembly or separate & in the side of the tank? If the latter then you can access it & its wires through the wheel arch.
