i.ve got a new fuel filter for my 2.5dt.

i got a problem trying to put one of the fuel lines back in. the line between the filter and the pump will not connect back up to the filter. this is just a simple job of pushing on and then clip locks it in place???

dam thing is making the job a right fecking pain.

Wrong filter?
Wrong diameter?
Compare filter inlet/outlet with the one you took off.
A bit of plastic left on the moulding?

nah filter is fine, i,ve checked diameter, just being a propper bitch!!

tiny bit of lube didnt do it neither, i dont wanna put too much pressure pushing it in in case it snaps

pop the pipe in to a cup of boiling water, then slide it on!;)

Why did you take the fuel-line off? The fuel filter is a cartridge type that just un-screws and then is replaced.. Or have I missed summat?

Mikey I did the same as you around the end of last year. Unfortunately the push in part of the fuel line snapped on trying to get it out and I had to re-run the line. I posted some pics with close-ups of the fit.
Might assist ....probably search under fuel line.
