I have a problem with the three pin electrical connector/plug that goes on to the fuel filter housing under the bonnet. One of the wires became detached and I had to solder it back on. With this wire detached the pump light stays lit on the dash. My soldering is not the best so I don't hold out much hope of it lasting especially if the filter and pump fall out of the fixing again (hopefully I have slotted it in correctly). Is it possible to get a new plug/connector for the filter housing. I managed to get new plugs for the injectors. With those you just strip the wires back a bit and screw them in so hopefully there is something similar available.

Which light do you mean? Pretty sure theres no pump light

try and find a scrap freelander and then cut one out with the wires I am sure you will be able to join them together even with bad soldering, put you soldering iron on the wire and warm it and then with the iron still on the wire add the solder hope this helps

Sorry my mistake It's the engine warning light that stays on if this wire is detached. There doesn't appear to be any ill effect though but all the same I prefer the wire attached so that the light goes out as it should. A new plug/connector would help.

teddywood1 Thanks for the tip. Finding a scrap one local will be a bit of a bind as all the local scrappies have just about gone.
