Hey guys,
I recently bought a 2000 Discovery 2 td5.
I plan on giving it a thorough service at the weekend, but for now I've just been working through all the little annoying problems (missing bulbs etc).
So I noticed in the handbook is says the diesel engines are supposed to have a warning light for excess water in the fuel, which is supposed to light up when first switching the ignition on as a test?
On my discovery this doesnt happen, and im wondering if its a bulb that has blown or something else (although from reading around am I right in thinking that this is an LED and so not replacable?)
I checked the plug on the bottom of the filter, and it wasnt plugged in, so I plugged it in and still no light.
Should the lamp light up initially even if the sensor isnt plugged in?
Cheers guys,
Kane
