Hi all,

I have a 2000 L series Freelander with a 19 turbo diesel. Since I am new with freelanders, I am not sure whether the speedometer shows the total km or miles done by the car in miles or km? Any help?

Also, there is the electronic speedometer that I do switch back to zero whenever I fuel back the landy such that I can know how much am i consuming per re-fill. Does this electronic speedometer emasure in km or miles?

Thanks again,

Ivan

what version freelander is it LHD/RHD ? how is the speedo marked ?

if the speedo has mph around the outside and km/h on the inside, chances are it's in miles as it will be a uk spec.

if it just has km/h on the speedo, then it will be export spec. and chances are it's in km

Hi optimus,

The car is a uk spec as I bought it in UK and now its been exported to Malta. And i confirm as you have said that the speedo has mph around the outside and km/h on the inside.

So according to my calculations, my landy is making 45 miles per gallon. Does this make sense as fuel consumption?

tnx
