yep mine was like that at 06:30 this morning, nothing a 2ltr bottle of luke warm water won't fix.
it's the instant de-icer, one day though it's going to be tooo hot and crack the fecker!

Also in extreme cold there is a thing called thermal momentum. Sort of the same as the sea being warmer in winter than summer, but alot quicker. Can freeze more quickly.

i've had that before, using the washers on a cold screen then instantly turning to ice, not great when your driving and can't see!, normally get rid of the ice then use just the wipers to dry the screen

Use low-temp screen wash? We use stuff over here that is good until -25°C. Never freezes.

TBH bud never looked into it, will have a ganda, ta

All screen wash I see now days is called summer/winter fluid, all you have it mix the correct water-fluid ratio for the two seasons, simples. which is something we did way before the screen wash was given such a name so nothing new.

Just let it get to operating temps( 15 minutes should do it) and use the defrosters to clear the wind screen

All this talk of fancy gadgets like screen washers and defrosters. Bloody spraying de icer whilst driving is what real men do.
