aint tried anyfink yet, am waitin on a new thermostat cos thisns stuk open. now its REALLY cold :(

maybe I should invest in some kinky wellies or waterproof rubber underwear. everyone else seems to have these things and be warm.

Ah Grasshopper, now you understand the mysteries of Landy Zone.

I pulled the blower motor and heater matrix out of my S3 so I could fit my 200tdi engine. Tomorrow I plan to make my own heater matrix out of copper piping, no fan just a heater matrix. I shall report back with either nothing to report.... or pictures and a story on how awesome it is :)

I've been debating this for a while and considered using some of the parts stacked up here including a Fiesta heater matrixes? matrices?

I reckon I'll sit this one out though and just watch, much more important things to do before, such as fit a working engine, weld chassis, etc

mate of mine many years ago used to have an old oil lantern lit on the floor between his heels in his old series 2 never tried it meself but he swears it was great

I got a very small old rad in the garage off a moto-x. Think I could 't' into the existing system somewhere and make that get hot, mounted behind me heels maybe??

id mount it under the floor with a few vents to let the hot air rise to yer feet without the lump of the rad at yer heels possibly the worlds first in car underfloor heating or if yer cleffer just create an underfloor heating system might use miles of pipe but its guaranteed to get yer toes warm :D:D:D:D

itd be in a 110 so i got a spare compartment under the driver seat, maybe stick it in there, cut some vents out to the footwell and a tiny leccy fan in there somewhere to get the heat out.

hhhhmmmm starting to sound like a good idea actually

This is what i'm doing, but finishing off puttnig the engine in first, for some reason i think being able to drive it is more important than being not quite as cold as i would be without the additional heater

cant remember exactly where to get them from or where the hell ive seen them but there are 100mm 12v fans for bathroom extractors knocking around somewhere and dont arf give a decent gust through them i do know though they come as a kit with vent covers n allsorts gotta be better than a computer fan :D:D:D

well im not going to touch it untill it gets a bit warmer, sounds stupid i know but at the moment its not broken and does get a bit warm, when i touch it i WILL break it, and i dont fancy that right now! but ill post up some pics when i get round to doing it, should get a laugh!

I agree with the people who have suggested warm boots as a cheap and easy alternative to increasing the heating. Muck boots are great, sheepskin insoles work wonders and the Extra warm thermal socks from Sealskinz will make your feet toastie warm, even in a Series. :)
