I had a crack in one of my frost plugs and need to renew it.I will have the new part in 2 hours and would like to know if it should be ok to install dry or should I buy some gasket seal and give it a thin coat?

Thanx,I take it thats a gasket seal.I'm getting my missis to get the bits I need,I already removed the cracked plug and can't go anywhere.

I wish I'd thought of getting brass plugs,but the genuine ones I bought should outlast the engine.
