I've read posts of those with other issues and think this is different so any advice woud be most welcome.

My front wipers work well in constant or fast mode, but when switched off, they do not return to "base" position - they stop immediately wherever they are on the cycle.

Worse though is in intermittent mode or single press, when they freeze at randon places on the windscreen.

I'm a relative novice at maintenance but can get expert help if needed! Maybe I need to replace the arm, or the motor?

Thanks

Thanks - that was quick!

Is that something I can source easily and "Mr Haynes" can show me how to replace?

Normally I'd say yes but this is a Gaylander we're talking about. So anything is possible.

I have the same prob on mine mate, new motor i'm told - LR garage would like £300+ for the privilage....

....on another note...you only have to read the response above to see how people clock up 21,000 posts...

Firstly I've told him exactly what is wrong with his motor. The park switch or sensor in the switch is goosed. Now with s discovery or a defender that would be an easy fix. Your however reckon that with a Gaylander, it's a complete new switch for £300+ So I'd say my 2nd reply was pretty much on the ball??

Now all you have done is repeated ****e from a LR stealer, and told him it's gonna cost £300. And had a pop at me because yu don't like my posting style. I know who's reply I'd prefer to see and it sure as hell int your fooker. So kiss me arse, twaart.. :p
