2 wheel studs are shot, i think, easy job to change or not?

suppose but that would mean takin the whole brake system apart, no tah lol only just got em biting proper today!

I don't think you'll be able to change the studs without removing the drum and the brake shoes at least. I had a look in the SIII parts catalogue and by the diagram it looks like the wheelstuds have splines on them and are pressed into the hub from the inside. You might be able to knock them out with a hammer with the hub still on the vehicle but it might be a bit tricky knocking the new ones back in without taking the hub off. I'd just take the hub off because it won't do the bearings any good if you go hammering very hard on the old wheelstuds.

put the new studs in the freezer for an hour .this will get them in far enough for you to get a nut on to pull them right through.

when tou get them in put a blob of weld on the back of them secured well and truly

I can't say I like the idea of that. I think the hubs are cast iron and welding cast iron can be tricky (let alone welding cast iron to the high tensile wheel studs) - welds in cast iron often crack and you don't want cracks forming in the hubs.

plus if it fooks up again, i'd have to destroy the weld
