Right then, my new in 2022 blueprint front left wheel bearing has play in it after a full new assembly was fitted😵‍💫
So, as I have a recent hub and carrier unit. I'm no going to go down the full replacement route again for just two years and I'm asking for any knowledge or experience of the rebuilding so I can do it myself with timken bearings.
It was just over two years and just out of guarantee 🤯.... Post soaking I'll add😜

The Cv joint nut is still in its final position and was spiked as well and the Cv joint inside the hub can be seen moving as well 😩

Need my 20 tonne log splitter modified to push the new bearing in. Old bearing can be cut out.

@MrGorsky got some from Brum that had a Timken bearing. Don't think he's had any issues.

This is an old post from the other site.... I keep it kicking around in case I ever get the chance to replace the bearings on mine!

My Birmingham place have sold up and become The Heritage Parts Centre and they no longer list the front assemblies I bought as in stock. They were unbranded castings, but they did have Timken bearings in them.

Cheers lad, I'm looking at an skf replacement. The blueprint unit I bought littery did around 30k and compared to the lr originals that did over 200k the blueprint units are a little disappointing 😩

I don't think you can go wrong with SKF.

Over 200k is very good from the originals. My fronts went after about 100k, and the rears at about 160k. At least one of them did, I just changed them both when one went bad.

I had done that with the both front bearings. Bring on the rears 🤯😜
