Anybody know the torque setting for the first big nut when changing wheel bearings?

Td5 is 52mm socket

Ok let me rephrase that



It depends what's inside your hub

Earlier ones have two nuts with washers and locking tabs

TD5's have a washer and single locking nut

Dunno about Puma's

td5 on 150 lbs or 210nm or just very tight ,check there no endfloat or is too tight ie notchy after,spacer between bearings is selectable to adjust bearings

what about a 300tdi defender 90?

Taper bearings, pinch up to make sure everythings seated, back off 1/4 turn, spin wheel and check for binding or play, adjust accordingly, lock first nut in position with tab washer and second nut (tab washer bends over a flat on both nuts)
