On a 2013 Freelander 2 is the front towing eye welded on, bolted on or screwed on? If it is removable I am thinking of modifying it by adding a front tow ball.

mine is welded to front cross member.hope this helps .
.run your finger round it.you can feel where it is welded

mine is 2009 so don't know if design was changed on your model
but would not have thought so. sorry for the bad news.
