What are my options? The front of my 109 currently has the usual square slabs of vinyl that were fitted originally. All well and good but not the most comfortable things and low-back seats aren't the best in a shunt.

So: early Defender seats? They should bolt straight in right? Refurbed with new base foam they're actually quite good.

I also considered fitting a later rear seat across the front. The 60/40 split is the right way round to access the battery and fuses, and then there's room for 2 kids to travel in front (facing forwards) But does it fit?

my 3 has early defender seats in it, comfier than the ordinary series seats.

pretty sure I have seen some with seats out of a mazda that went straight in, can't remember which one though

Defender seats in my 88" SW fit a treat.

I have RX8 seats in mine, both heated and drivers is electric.
They are very comfy and have the security of the head restraint.

I've been surpised how good the std seats are. They look like they would be terrible but I get out after an hour with less discomfort than my Merc. I've added hear supports (Rover 75?) for a bit of safety but the std seats work better than I expected. I think the point is that liek a bench seat you move about more.

not too bad, better with a child than an adult, but the location of the gear and od levers could cause issues!
I was just about to say the same thing, bit of a squeeze but usable for short distances.
To be honest I'd rather have a cubby box.
