tried starting up no 2 rangie P38 diesel.hadni been started fo 2 years diagnosed no fuel getting to FIP had a new in tank pump and fitted it started up second time and runs sweet except for a noise from the front sounded like it was belt pulleys or water pump but on closer inspection i noticed i could turn all acessorie over with turning the fan for without turning the crank for about 20 degrees so it looks like the vibration rubbers have disintigrated. now the problem is to remove the fan as when you hit it with a big hammer it just turns the fan and will not loosen the nut that holds it on so im going to have to make somthing to hold the pulleywhile i hit the spanner .

You do know it's a left hand thread? I had a hell of a job to get one of mine off so good luck with it.

Yes its the same as my other one and that comes off easily now with a 32 mm spanner and a club hammer

After spending some time thinking about designing a tool to hold the fan to undo it in the end i went and got a piece of steel13mm x 3mm x260mm long and it did the job one hit and the fan was off now all i got to do is wait for new pulley or second hnd one as a new one is ove 400 qiud
