Hi all
The propshaft at the front has lots of movement around the splines.
My 90 is a bit of a hybrid and iam not sure if a standard 90 propshaft will fit.
I have measured between the flanges and it is 675mm.
Can anyone help?

PS had no problems regarding the engine over reving itself since i changed the air filter but its early days.

How un-standard is it? what is different on it, how much is it lifted by, is it original gearbox?!?

The gearbox fitted is the 5 speed with the reverse across to left and upwards. The axles come from a discovery and engine is a 2.5 turbo diesel. The chassis has been shortened to 88 inch.

has the chassis been shortened at the front or the back? For info, that is an LT77 gearbox an'all.

Does the LR have a suspension lift at all?

got any pics? be interested in seeing an 88'' 90.
ring autopost , they were able to tell me the distance required for my rear prop , closed and fully extended.
there is a good chance you will have to get one made.
i would go to gkn and ask for a custom prop , expencive but you wont have to get a new one for a long while.

it doesn't have any lift as yet. Thats maybe for the future along with bigger tyres.
It looks to have been shortened in the middle cause i can see the welding.
I had a leak on the fuel tank a while ago and was told if i needed a new one i would have to have a standard tank shortened and welded back together. The whole chassis has been galvanised so should last for years. Its got discovery axles so it has got discs all round. It handles very well on the road and drives in a straight line and off road very capable through ruts etc. The body work is very tatty and bashed up but i have a donner series three to which iam going to transfer the whole body shell but keeping the defender bonnet and front panel. It was bought to transport dogs for walkies and to help with field maintenance around my friends farm. That was 5 years ago and it keeps going on and on. Think it will outlive me!! passes mot every year but i when parts wear i replace them.
I will keep you informed regarding the propshaft.
