Hi folks,

I have a 110csw 300tdi 1998 with 2" lift. Need a new front prop and looking at a Hardy Spicer for £81.75 from Brookwell...

Front Propshaft | Land Rover Parts | Range Rover Spares and Accessories

Do all propshafts have some extension capability? Would this one likely be OK?

I have a knackered old britpart one on there now that came with it and has given up after 3 years.

OH! the existing front prop is 64cm long and appears to be solid or fused with time

Cant comment on the new one but the front should be able to extend/retract as it needs to be able to change length as the axle moves up and down. If yours really is seized it is going to kill your axle final drive input and transfer box output bearings. If it is seized I suggest you leave it off and drive with diff lock in until you get a replacement

I'm not totally sure it is seized. Everything appeared to be working fine until the UJ collapsed so most likely not. I just didn't try shifting it while it was off and appeared solid.

I've seen front prop specs as 60cm fully closed. Does anyone know the fitted length of the front prop on a standard 300tdi 110?
