the bolt

My dad has just got a 56 plate Disco 3.

It has rear parking sensors and a button for front parking sensors but no actual sensors on the front.

Without drilling holes in the bumper what's the deal?

Thanks

Mike

You simply don't have front sensors. If you want the front ones then you need to check the loom has the plugs (which it should do if it has the rear system installed).

It may be easier to locate a used bumper complete with sensors as the cost will outweigh the benefit.

Once installed, you need to set it up with IDS/SDD.

If it never had them then you would have to get them turned on by a dealer even if you got a new bumper with them in. The fact you have the button would seem to suggest you had them at some point because I've only got one button. The simple answer is just look where you're going like I do. Even the back ones aren't needed, they are just a convenience and most of the time I turn them off because they drive you mad with a trailer on.

They should turn off when you plug your trailer in along with your rear fogs, might need your car configuration file updating.
