Hi all, my 2001 Defender 90 has developed a strange noise (hard to describe but sounds like a seal lion barking!) from the front offside. It seems to be when I go on left lock and under power. It doesn't make the noise when it is coasting? Could it be the swivel ball?

CV joint I'd say.

i'd nearly bet my left ball its coming from your cv joint its gone dry, how to fix it ? you need to take out bung at top of hub and fill with swivel pin grease or EP 90 gear oil or heavyer , some say don't use oil but its fine untill you get the landrover one shot swivel pin grease , hope this helps

Hi ya sorry to hi-jack the thread but could i do the same on an 1986 90 as i have a bit of a funny noise coming from drivers side which almost sounds like a whurring!!! any sugestions?
