Has anyone used one of the front middle seats for a dog? My springer currently travels in the back of my 90 in a cage but looking at the possibility of putting in a 3rd seat and having him on there (suitably restrained of course). Anyone done or doing this?

how big's the dog? if I ever had anyone sitting in the middle seat in my old one, gear changing was a bit cosy!

All My springers travels in the back. Otherwise they will lick/dribble on the gear stick
And as you know springers are not the cleanest of dogs after a walk.
He has a box with a quilt he climbs under as it's a covered pick up.
even with a middle seat there may not be a lot of room for the dog to stretch out

Get a suitable dog cage and bolt it to the bonnet. Dogs love fresh air and you can keep an eye on it him/her at the same time.

Well I tried this, but to be honest whilst the dog seemed happy enough, facing forward and tail high and wagging the view for me wasn't the best.......

Thanks for all the input. I think I'll keep the cage in the back but put a 3rd seat in the front for the odd occasion.
