Sorry to hijack but does anyone know the width of the centre seat as I wouldnt mind fitting one for the dog to sit on, and i didnt mean the missus, as i have 2 bucket seats fitted and not sure if theres space.

cheers

I will be taking my middle seat out next week. I was intending selling it on ebay along with the others. give me a shout if you still need one.

Do you think it will fit between these seats, if so i could be up for one, condition isn't a biggy as its only really for the dog to sit on, let me know what you think

looks like there has been one fitted previously due to the set belt so should fit. just be careful not sure of ins and outs or how strongly it would be enforced but i believe it is technically illegal to have a dog on front seats,

Didn't think about the legalities but not a lot of choice with a truck cab, have to get a dog seat belt thing and harness, cheers

According to that its not illegal but you could be done if anyone felt an in restrained dog contributed to any accident .

cheers for that, looks like a harness is on the cards then, my last dog just laid in the footwell but this ones a noisey bugger and has to be watching where we are going.

According to the highway code a dog must be suitably restrained within a vehicle. This is obviously to prevent it climbing all over you while driving. I take mine in the front all the time and just clip his harness onto an adapter which fits the seatbelt.

Reference the mudmuts question, yes a middle seat will fit in there fine. Those holes you see either side of the centre plate at front and back are for mounting it

Oh and I've got a truck cab too so unless you're dogs quite small I wouldn't put him in the middle lol that will be very tight. You may also find that the half decent seatbelt adapters for a harness are more designed for working with a 3 point belt, not a lap belt. I'll take a pic of mine later, im on the bus at the moment

She`s a smallish staffy cross so will fit fine, she normally squeezes onto the seat beside the missus in the beemer, would like to see the harness.
