I also hate the KBX ones :D
You said you were selling yours so your opinion shouldn't count. LOL, good to hear from you. I still can't make up my mind. I thought I had made my choice until I went and saw my Defender in the paint shop. Its been sprayed Aintree Green. In certain light it looks almost black, in the sun its a very dark speckled green. My thoughts are that for a more modern color perhaps I should go with a face lift front grill.

I was going for a silver grille and surrounds until Sarah talked me out of it, I'm glad she did as I saw one the other day and it looked terrible!

The KBX ones may be acceptable in Matt black, but only just acceptable...

Anyways, I'm not selling my 90 now no one was interested!

I'm surprised no one was interested. I thought they were going like hot cakes. I'm planning on doing the Pyrenees around May time and Morocco later in the year.I finish up working the end of April so I will have plenty of time.
Mine should be ready tomorrow, but I have heard that for the last few weeks. I will put the old grill back on and make a decisions then.

A 200 tdi that works does the job fairly well. You'l find out once you get yours sorted. I would imagine having a Cummins with all that power would crunch things like diffs etc.

I'd love a Cummins in mine it would pull really well.

Excuse to fit lockers or LSDs and some HD Ashcroft bits tho!

A tdi in fine fettle and an appropriate amount of tune is surprisingly responsive. Love mine.

The only manly choice is original.

Anything else is like women with caked makeup, heels, tango-tan, and bleached hair.

Ditto flat; mine is very torquey and pulls much better than td5 Discovery.

They do seem to attract attention. I had a guy stop and ask to buy mine because it looked tidy for original. I told him I don't spend one day a week maintaining it for nothing.

Just this morning I came out to find a business card asking to buy it stuck in the drivers door glass seal.

I have taken some tracking equipment from work and fitted.

The black is primer ready for santinni black, the body colour will be Renault B76 Flame Red.

FYI Just returned from the Nackerthingy website, pleasantly surprised at the grill prices...so bought one, £55 all in delivered. One thing that is interesting is their l/h wing vent lockbox.

Which website is that? Nothing comes up when I do a search. Was that for a Standard Defender grill?
