Just had my 1990, 200 tdi, 110 Defender resprayed Aintree Green, It should be ready next week. Now do I replace the front grill with original ones or do I go for something like LAND ROVER DEFENDER KBX FACE LIFT FRONT GRILLE & SURROUND KIT - SATIN BLACK:

Does anyone know if they would be a straight fit or would they require some modifications or should I stick with original. I don't want it to look silly.
Comments or pic's if you have done something similar.

These look good if you go down the led headlight route try splandrover much cheaper grills than that one you put up and they sell the lights to.

Great, thanks very much guys for your input, much appreciated. I'm going the original route. Wife thought it would look prettier with the face lift, Deep down I thought keep it original. And I have managed to save a few bob.

I have just been through the same choice ! Went for a air con center panel and original grill to give it a newer look. Having mine painted in Renault B76

Hope yours doesn't take as long as my guy did. He's had mine since the 4th January. I should get it back sometime this week. He only has to put bits back on like door handles etc. You will have to post some pic's.

My Brother in law is doing it and hopefully going in end of this month ! Yes will post pics !

If you're looking for a slightly different look, consider spraying the grill and headlight surrounds body colour. County station wagons of the late '80s had this treatment which can look good.

How about Nakatanenga grill & headlight surrounds / finishers?
I like them as they are understated.

I like the grill not sure about the light surrounds, I bet it's a bit pricey though?
I've got a flat steel pressed/perforated one to fit to mine as I've never really liked the plastic Venetian blind looking standard one or thought it offered enough protection.

Not too bad, had mine a while now but I think the grill is about £140 and the surrounds £170.

That sounds rather expensive. Think I will stick with Standard which cost about £30.

I quite like the Nakatanenga grill, was looking at them only last week, think I quite fancy one for my project.
But we'll see, I'm not one for straying too far from standard.
