hi all not been able to get on here for a while lost me pass word but found wherei put it now so all good . the good news my p38 2.5 diesel passed its mot today the not so bad news when under heavy braking i get a bad vibration from the front near side it feels like a warped disc .so before i get new discs could it be anything else like front props or anything

new brake discs, then get into the habit of putting in neutral/handbrake at traffic lights instead of holding it on the brakes. Hot pads stick to hot discs causing disc thickness variation. Small discs heavy car, hotter brakes.

Also ensure proper bedding in. If you google DTV some s.african brake company did a good write up on symptoms whys and wherefores and how to prevent.

It's a warped disc for sure, but do check your caliper locating/sliding pins... they can get stuck and warp your disc pretty fast.

We always look at the brakes first or wheel bearings . Ive done a lot of miles in different cars and 4x4s. Tyres take a major role in how the car brakes. If its slightly out of shape or breaking down it will give a judder effect. Its not always visible or easy to diagnose but if you have the brakes looked at think about the tyres and put a spare on. As you have to take the tyre off anyway try the spare first
