Hi All,

Did a quick search and couldn't find the answer so here goes:-

Trying to sort a leaking inner hub oil seal front nearside wheel (deafener 110 - 1992). stripped down to point where I need to remove brake caliper, bought 13mm Bi-hex socket to remove securing bolts. 1st bolt piece of ****, second bolt no grip, rounded, "BASTARDO!".

How do I get this bolt off, will obviously buy new replacement.

or if you have access to a decent mig welder - weld a large nut onto it and undo that way

Hi,

Thanks for responses, thought the "rounded nut tool!" suggestion was a similar suggestion to "go to the stores for a 'LONG Stand!'".

wanna buy some elbow grease to help get em moving?;):D:D:D

Did a little looking around and bought a set of Irwin ones from ebay, great price £12ish inc delivery (screwfix £21.99).

BNIP IRWIN bolt-grip 5 Piece Base Set 394001 on eBay (end time 16-Sep-10 15:08:50 BST)

Thanks again.

You may need a pair of mole grips or a vice to un-wedge the bolt from the extractor afterwards. I had a wheel nut wedged solid in one of mine one day.:doh::p

checked with local motor factors, there's a 2 week delay on "Elbow Grease" and "Buckets of Blue Sparks!" so placed order!!!!:hysterically_laughi

am still waiting for my metric adjustable, long stand, short stay, glass hammer, left handed screwdriver, tin of compression, tin of striped paint etc etc

i found a socket a size smaller then hammered it on that worked i think hammering helped loosen it hope this helps
